Youth's Struggling in Today's India

Today's Youth are fighting against Terrorism and Corruption... They are not just fighting but they are  struggling because of our Corrupt Politicians... I am writing these article for not just fun or its not my wish... Time has Come... Its my anger towards our Corrupt Politicians which are known as Terrorists
now-a-days... I my self tried to find difference between Politicians and terrorists... But inspite of getting answer to my question, i realized that they are no differences between them... Politicians and the Terrorists are one and the same...

ABVP, YFN, THE REAL INDIA, are some of the organizations i know where there are only youngsters who are fighting very hard against Terrorism and Corruption.. Terrorism + Corruption = India... These eqation we have to change now... many years past, people use to know India for their culture, nation anthem, no riots but now-adays India is known for corrupt Politicians and Terror Prone Country.. These we have to change... We youths are fighting to save India from politicians as well as Terrorists..

Bhagat singh, Rajguru, sukhdev are the heroes who faught very hard against Britishers and they gave their life.. Chandrashekhar Azad passed the message to Bhagat singh that tonight he will be free from jail so be ready... What ever he has to do he has done... Bhagat singh send message to Chandrashekhar Azad that there is lot to do.. Bhagat singh said,  "abhi tak hume kuch hasil nahi hua.. Meri icchha he ki me is desh ke liye maru taki kuch aur Bhagat singh paida ho"..  At the age of 23, Bhagat singh, rajguru, sukhdev gave their life for their Country... Rajguru said," me ek baar desh ke liye  mar jau, uske baar chain se jeeta rakhunga".. Thats the spirit from our youths...

Bhagat singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru won their battle against Britishers and now we youth have taken their path to fight against Terrorism... India was known as very safe Country but some terrorists blast In India and the scenario of these Country Completely Changed... Today's youth are struggling but none of them had given up... We will fight till  our last breath... We will die but we will not accept defeat from our enemies.. (Maar jayenge lekin dushmano se haar nahi manenge...)

ABVP and IAC are the two known organisation who are fighting against Corruption... In recent days,  ABVP supporters had organised rally and in rally police lathi charged them... Few supporters were dead... Still our youth are not afraid of these deaths and they will fight... Agar koi nahi maarta to ABVP shayad picchhe hatane ka soch sakati he lekin agar koi apni jaan de woh bhi desh ke liye to hum yuvak ka khoon itna garam he ki unki maut khaali na jaye isiliye ab ye ladai kabhi nahi rukegi... Ye ladai tabhi rukegi jab hum Coruption se ladai jeetenge...

YFN and THE REAL INDIA are the organisations who are fighting against both Corruption and Terrorism.. These organisations are having aim of securing India from Terrorism.. YFN (youth For Nation), the title itself says that there are more youngsters who are having anger against Terorism... ABVP, IAC, YFN, THE REAL INDIA are the organisations who came toghether to win the largest fight in these country... I had a meeting with Anna Hazare.. I asked him that we won against britishers because of bhagat singh then why dont we take a step which Bhagat singh took..?? Why only we are taking steps of Gandhiji...??? Anna hazare replied to that, "Bhagat singh ki ladai angrezo ke sath thi, isiliye
usne goli chalai, humari ladai to humare hi logon ke sath he to hum humare logonke uppar goli kaise chalay..???? I  agreed to Anna Hazare that time but now I my self would suggest to take Bhagat singh's step...

Older men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die.

A Working Definition of Terrorism

'Terrorism' has different meanings for different
people. Terminology is always a matter of agreement for the purpose of
common understanding. There is no point in searching for logic-based
definitions of terms which belong to the realm of political or social
science, especially when the term in question carries a negative
emotional connotation. There is no way on earth by which the United
States can logically prove that the Libyan-sponsored attack on the
Rome and Vienna airports in 1985 was an act of terrorism, if some of
the basic assumptions and semantics necessary for the definition of
terrorism are not universally accepted. The United States assertion is
certainly consistent with its own definition of terrorism, but Colonel
Muammar al-Gaddafi may still maintain that the term 'terrorism'
should be reserved for acts such as the US punitive raid on Libya
(April 1986), and that the Rome and Vienna attacks are more properly
described as actions of revolutionary violence, armed struggle, or
fighting for freedom.

Still, for students of political violence, classification of the phenomena
that fall under this general category is an essential first step of
research. Achieving a consensus on the meaning of the term
'terrorism' is not an important end in itself, except, perhaps, for
linguists. It is necessary, on the other hand, to differentiate between
various conditions of violence and to distinguish between diverse
modes of conflict, whatever we name them, if we want to gain a better
understanding of their origins, the factors which affect them, and how
to cope with them. The purposes, circumstances and methods
involved in state violence against its own citizens are entirely different
from those that characterize violence exercised by states against other
states or by insurgent groups against governments. The application of
the term 'terrorism' to all three situations is obfuscating and disrupts
academic research as well as addressing these problems in political
action. As long as the term 'terrorism' simply denotes a violent
behavior which is deplorable in the eyes of the user of the term, its
utility is in propaganda rather than in research.

Let we all take oath To fight against Terrorism and Corruption and save our India, Motherland..

"Mitti ya dharti ka tukda nhi hai,
                                      MERI MAA HAI ye BHARAT
                                       JAI HIND JAI BHARAT"

Role Of The Youth In Nation Building

Youth power is a recognized force in the world today. The youth are filled with tremendous energy and towering ambitions. They can be utilized as a constructive and as a destructive force by any nation.
During the eighties, the youth power made itself prominent in many socialist countries of Europe and in China. Tianamen Square in Beijing, China witnessed a powerful demonstration.
Thousands of Chinese youth sacrificed their lives in order to bring democracy in that autocratic State. Wherever there are riots in any country, political forces use the youth power to promote their interest During the riots against Mandal Commission in India, thousands of college students agitated in the streets of the cities. Many of them committed self-immolation.
India is a large country with a population of 100 crore individuals. Those between the age of 15 to form more than 50 per cent of the total population. The majority of youth comprises this age group.
The students, employees, workers, farmers and persons from various professions —including the unemployed educated —are the citizens which really matter in all walks and disciplines of our national life.
Unfortunately, a large number of these are without proper guidelines about their futures. It is dangerous to allow them to remain idle as it would increase their frustration which would result in chaos and disturbances.
It is a great national wastage of human resources if these strong hands are not allocated some suitable jobs. No country can afford such a wastage. They should be directed appropiately to engage in some constructive tasks. This manpower can do wonders provided its potential is tapped for the developmental projects of the nation.
1 Indian yoiith have never lagged behind when called upon to meet any challenge. It is for the national leaders to play their part by mobilising their abilities and providing them with suitable opportunities.
Let there be no doubt about the strength, power and capabilities of youth all-over the world. They were instrumental in dethroning autocratic rulers —the Czars of Russia, Sukarno of Indonesia; Hitler of Germany, Indira Gandhi of India (during 1977 elections), Shah Mohammed Reza Pehalvi of Iran etc.
The massive youth movement in Czechoslovakia succeeded against the military invasion of their country. The recent histories of Kampuchea, Korea, Cuba, France and Myanmar provide evidences of their invincible might. Further, in our own country before partition, the youth played a very dynamic role in the freedom movement.
After independence too, they are in the forefront of many forceful movements. They have changed the shape of many a state government and have influenced their policy decisions.
The task of nation-building is herculean and can be divided into phases. Everyone can contribute towards the same. All the young people may take part in this noble task according to their capacities.
First of all, they should be made to understand a specific project and its importance to the society and also the part they could play in it for making it a success. Given a suitable direction, they are sure to work hard for its fulfilment.
They would feel more than satisfied by the realization that, they have been assigned a role in the task of nation-building, The realization will encourage them to put their hearts for fulfilling the commitment. Whatever is done by the government for nation-building, affects the whole society —the young and the old alike.
At least the youth think that they are being denied the right of participation in this task. It would be wise to associate them with all such programmes which relate to them. Such a step would satisfy to give them a sense of belongingness and would keep them involved in constructive jobs.
It is not very difficult to mobilise the youth for nation- building tasks provided that one has the requisite honesty, intelligence and leadership. Once they are genuinely involved, their interest in constructive work would be aroused. They would be prepared to work sincerely for the welfare of the country.
There can be a large number of schemes, projects and programmes wherein involvement of the youth would bring quicker and better results. Spirited youngmen can play a pivotal role in the socio-economic reconstruction of the society. Jawahar Rozgar Yojna and TRYSEM are the two vital schemes promoted by the government.
These schemes must be availed of by the unemployed youth. There are many evil practices prevalent in our society. If the youth is associated in a drive against these practices, the results may be much more favourable.
There may be schemes connected with the raising of the levels of production in agriculture.
The youth may be assigned the job of dissemination of scientific knowledge for better farming, new techniques and proper usage of fertilizers and pesticides. In a drive against economic offences, their energies could be used in moulding public opinion so that the eradication and prevention of such offences could be expedited.
The youth may work successfully as an arm of the administration in the implementation of government programmes aimed at fighting various maladies.
Another field — in which their energies may be gainfully employed — is the task of adult education and the universalization of education. If given proper incentives, encouragement and support, they can take over the responsibility of fulfilling the targets fixed by the government.
Their services may be utilised to combat offences like smuggling, black-marketing and hoarding. They can help the administration in creating public opinion against those who indulge in such unfair practices.
Cooperatives may be encouraged through them for creating parallel marketing facilities to render the anti-social practices ineffective. There is a need to repose faith in the youth who, if properly directed, can change gloomy a desert into a blooming oasis.
By enlisting the cooperation and involvement of the youth force, the government will be successful in mobilising idle manpower and would also save these young minds from becoming victims to anti-social elements and practices.
By employing these persons in some socially useful tasks, the possibilities of violence, unrest and turmoil could be greatly minimized. It is, therefore, in the national interests that these young men are attracted towards all types of developmental activities.
We would suggest that the youth must be trained in vocational streams. They should be allowed to develop scientific tempers. Political activities in colleges and the universities must banned. Education should be made job- oriented.
Our government spends large amounts of funds on a number of organizations that are given charge of implementation of various schemes and programmes related to national development.
Involvement of the youth and their organisations would cost much less in terms of money. The young people may be inspired and encouraged to adopt villages or other suitable units of operation in which they can concentrate on the all-round improvement.
The present trend of the society has already created havoc throughout the world. The youth have gone berserk owing to invasions of satellite television, Western culture as well as due to the narcotic tendencies of the west. Indian youths are prone to copying anything and everything coming via the west.
Unless this dangerous disease is effectively checked, it is bound to neutralize a sizeable number of our youth. Heroin and smack have already taken their toll.
Further neglect in this vital area would push our society in serious trouble. It is high time for our leaders to inject a fresh vigour in our youth, arouse their confidence and develop a sense of honour, an appreciation for their cultural heritage and finally, a patriotic fervour. Then only, we would be able to construct a healthy and strong India.
Every country must see that its youth power is properly utilized. The youth must not be led astray by politicians and criminals, -Most university campuses have become politicized.
Elections to student leaderships are fought with a great vengeance. Student leaders hold enormous clout. They may be utilized by rival groups of teachers to disturb the academic environment. A law should be enforced and it must ban such elections and groups.
Drug addiction gives them physical and mental debilities and makes them unfit for any useful job. If we do not control the infiltration and usage of drugs like Hashish and Marijuana in India, the youths are likely to fall into a dreadly trap of drugs which would prove to be a total disaster for our young minds.
We shall thus lose a powerful force which can be used during war emergencies as well as for spreading literacy and education.
The youth should be kept occupied in schools and colleges with facilities for sports and entertainment. NCC training must be made compulsory for them. The media is doing its best to inculcate restraint in them. Indian youth is likely to overcome the problems it faces.

Indian Youth In Search Of Icons

INDIAN YOUTH IN SEARCH OF ICONS

An Icon means a model or an example one can emulate. Originally, the word icon meant
a religious and sacred symbol, and in the latest computer terminolgy, it means a symbol used as a
diagram or picture. But in the popular usage, icon means a charismatic person who can draw a good
following and provide them an ideal and identity. To have a good example, an icon that appeals to
heart, is one of the prime needs of a young person. There is no dearth of icons in the Indian
Tradition, says Prema Nandakumar, a devotee of Sri Ramakrishnan and Sri Aurobindo, from Srirangam in
Tamil Nadu. The author has sevaral publications to her credit, besides sevaral articles published in
various Journals.

Is Our Culture Outdated..?

Often we hear complaints from the younger generation that our culture has become
outmoded. 'We are in the 21st Century' is a sentence repeatedly flung at us. This is the age of
electronic mastery of communications. Science and technology are fast subduing the unknoen. So
they say and turn away to what they consider new horizons, holding in hand the new icons of
inspirations: the cellphone at the ears, the laptop in one hand and the glossy inflight magazine
in the other.

We do not blame them. In an attempt to show that Indian Culture has had the strength
to survive twenty to thirty centuries with ease, we have unconsciously made is appear as an
oversized, ancient antity, out of touch with the modern world. Our scholars repeatedly try to push
back the dates of our scriptures as if age alone is holiness. Truly speaking, if our Upanishads and
Puranas have survived to this day, it is because of their power of knowledge, the powers of Savita
(the sun deity, symbolizing creation) whom we continue to evke for inspiration through the Gayatri Mantra : Om tat savitur varenyam bhargo dhevasya dheemahidhiyo yo na prachodayat.

'We meditate on the glory of that being who has produced this universe; may he
enlighten our minds.'

Consider the above Sanskrit verse of 24 syllables and reflect over how it has
been the mainstay of innumerable traditions, from the most orthodox Vedic religions to the Sufi
traditions of dervishes. How can we put an 'age-ag' to it?

Another problem that has unconsciously affected the psyche of the younger generation
in keeping away from our culture has been the visual representation of our sages in sculpture,
painting, films. They seem to be always old people, having matted hair and long beards. Once again,
the unconscious comes to the fore. What can this old fogey advice me about my problem today?
The contrast is made sharper because of the association of wisdom today with 'a well groomed look'
as a Master of Business Administration or the Director of a Multinational. The very richness of Indian
Culture-so wide, so deep-has also been a deterrent. What is can remain focused? Hence Indian youth
stands today somewhat perplexed about the phenomenon of our culture. The youth generation would like
to know what constitues the core of this tradition which could help them advance in life, material
as well as spiritual. But battered by the visual media the answer seems to be elusive.

India's Cultural Awakening

Fortunately for us, a little over a hundred years ago, an event occurred which
replicated the Upanishadic times. A guru was seen surrounded by his disciples in a temple at kolkata.
Not much went on except conversation that was interspersed with devotional hymns. The guru himself
was not very old and many of the disciples were just teenagers. That was a time when English
education and the materialistic way of living had taken Indian youth in its vice-like grip.
That was the time when precious palm leaf manuscripts were being thrown away in the Ganges or Cauvery
as worthless scribblings of incomprehensible religious traditions. That was the time when British
rule over India seemed destined to last for ever and ever. And the guru was Sri Ramakrishnan.

Sri Aurobindo, a young man of 22, educated at Cambridge returns home in 1893 and
hears of this guru. By then Sri Ramakrishnan has withdrawn from the physical world and Swami Vivekanandan,
another young man of 30 is spreading India's eternal message of Vedanta in America. Sri Aurobindo ,
fired by an intensive love of his motherland flings his challenge at the British empire. Remember,
he announces: Macaulay's victims have become devotees of Sri Ramakrisna! Speaking to a large audience at
Mahajan Wadi, Bombay on 19th January, 1908, Sri Aurobindo said quietly that if one had faith in GOD, GOD
will find a way to speak to our hearth: 'It is to the hearth that God speaks, it is in the hearth that
GOD resides.' Some of the highly educated men of Bengal had not ceased to believe in GOD and when
the time came, it was easy for them to recognize the voice of GOD..

'One of them, the man 9Sri Ramakrishna) who had the greatest influence and has
done the most to regenerate Bengal, could not read and write a single word. He was a man who had been
what they call absolutely useless to the world. But he had this one divine faculty in him, that he had
more than faith and had realized God.'

There were the scoffers who did say such men were 'useless to society'. What
is the use of a temple priest who can only intone some ritualistic mantras? Even in our own times
we have such myopic men who dismiss him as no more than a frenzied priest of a kali temple. Did he
know kant? Did he invent any technology instrument? Would he have been able to handle the keys of a
Remington typewriter that was on the market in his time? But in his own time, Sri Ramakrishna was
recognized a a man of GOD by eminent intellectuals as well. Sri Aurobindo writes of those times..

'But GOD knew what he was doing. He sent that man to
Bengal and set him in the Temple of Dakshineshwar
in Calcutta, and from North and South and East and
West, the educated men, men who were the pride of
the university, who had studied all that the Europe
can teach came to fall at the feet of this young
ascetic. The work of Salvation, the work of raising
                       India was begun'

What the youth needed was faith in the sanatana dharma which taught
selflessness and courage, the needs of the hour. For Indians, faith in GOD has always meant a faith
in sanatana dharma which is a faith in the glory and good that is man. Countless are the times when
racial experience distilled thus has been brought to us as the Religion of Man with the refrain,
esha dharmah sanatanah-this Dharma is eternal.

India's Eternal Search For Truth

This Constant search for Human perfection and the alignment of the individual
and the community moving in tune with each other, is what is known as the sanatana dharma. In this
very act of garnering the wisdom of the ages as the Ancient Way, we have been gifted with innumerable
icons that suit individual characters and aspirations. There are plenty of Ideals and Icons in our
culture that help us to achieve a good life. What we need is faith in these ideals that have an
undeniable transformatory power to make the today's youth ambassadors of the peerless Indian culture
to teach others the significance of the word civilization.

A hundred years ago Sri Aurobindo found such ambassadors who taught the whole
nation how to rise against oppression and the debilitatory effects of the materialism. He saw that
the inspiration set in motion by the presence of Sri Ramakrishna and given an active thrust by
Swami Vivekananda taught the youth of Bengal to have faith and gain the strength that faith gives
to suffer for the good of the nation..

Why should the youth be worried that things seem to be bad all around? In truth,
it is not so. Dharmacontinues to thrive among the common people and that is why mankind continues
to move forward. To recognize this and push onwards, one needs along with faith and selflessness
and courage to be extensions of one's faith. So he addresses the youth of his time (and the youth
of all times)

'When you believe in GOD, when you believe that GOD is guiding you, believe
that GOD is doing all and that you are doing nothing, what is there to fear?... What is there that
you can fear when you are conscious of him who is within you? Courage is then a necessity, courage
is natural and courage is inevitable.'

Returning To Our Own Roots

With this firm faith secured, we have to find out how best to make of
ourselves invincible warriors by getting trained in sanatana dharma. But i can hear my young readers
protesting: Where are the leaders to inspire us with such faith that brings in its wake selflessness
and courage? That is why we place before the youth of India this ancient heritage, the sanatana
dharma. Interestingly enough, in this the centre is every where, the circumference nowhere. Why not
make a beginning with Panchatantra and Hitopadesa instead of wasting our time in purpseless meandeings
of violence in the name of magic projected in the latest best-sellers? Come then to our treasures
of commonsense, our scintillating baskets of wit and humour, our precious caskets of faith and
spirituality, our hard disks of noble living. Make a beginning with two of the finest icons Indian
youth can reach out for, the Panchatantra and the Hitopadesa! Even if you do not study anything else
but simply maste and imbibe the whole of these two works and act according to the tenents, victory
will be yours in all your undertakings.

To Hitopadesa, then. A book which is ageless. ancient and never palls. A
work which is down to earth, but high in instilling soulful faith. The opening section places
before us the importance of learning, and what it does to gain for us fortune and faultless-ananda.

'Learning, although possessed by a low man, introduces him to the king
who is (ordinarily) inapproachable, just as a river, although flowing through a low region, takes
one to the inaccessible sea: (sources) from which floweth great to fortune.'

Learning endows one with modesty; from (having) modesty one passes on to
(gets) worthiness; being worthy one obtains riches; from riches religious merit and from that happiness.'!

Sanatana dharma does not teach simply such moralistic formulae. The
practice always is to make you to think for yourselves. What is good for the individual? What is
beneficial to the community? Which is the right path to achieve the best of living for both the
individual and the society? This is how parables became the rich granary of Indian culture and Hitopadesa
contains one of the oldest and richest collections of such stories. it is amazing to know that for several
millenia we have learnt the values of self-sacrifice for loyalty from Viravara, of discrimination from
the tale of Chudamani and the barber, of the power of intelligence in the fall of the elephant
Karpuratilaka and of the evil of arrogance in the suicidal leap of the lion Durdanta. Painlessly
wisdom was injected into the young mind of Pandit Vishnusarman who taught the sons of king Sudarsana
of Pataliputra. Indeed, throughout Hitopadesa pellets of good judgement are strewn about with a
prodigal hand.

Conclusions

Indian youth who are in search of icons to lead a gracious and virtuous life and become achievers,
ought to hold on to one or two of these and they would never feel the lack of inspirations in their
life. Yes, life on earth is never smooth-sailing. But our foundations have placed before us heroes and
heroines like arjuna and Damayanti who have suffered, endured and overcome. It was inspirations
like these books and characters that gave us a Swami Vivekananda, a mother Sarada Devi, a Sister
Nivedita. Hold on fast to our cultural foundations and all will be well. Havent we the widely known
vedic chant to sculpt our lives and fare well and fare forward? Satyam vada, dharmam chara!

    'Speak the truth
     Practise virtue (dharma)
Neglect not study (of the vedas)
Having brought an acceptable gift to the tacher
Cut not off the line of progeny
One should not be negligent of truth
One should not be negligent virtue
One should not be negligent welfare
One should not be negligent prosperity
Be one to whom a mother is as a GOD
Be one to whom a father is as a GOD
Be one to whom a a teacher is as a GOD
Be one to whom a guest is as a god'

Where else can we find better guidelines to live fulfilling lives? Why not dig into our own ancient
ageless heritage and make these our own? The choice is ours.
